A misdemeanor battery case against former M?TLEY CR?E singer Vince Neil was dismissed Wednesday (April 7) after he completed more than 100 hours of community service, according to the Associated Press.

Superior Court Judge Richard Stone granted a March 26 request to dismiss the case against Neil, said Jane Robison, a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles County district attorney's office.

The charge stemmed from an April 2002 run-in with a record producer outside a Sunset Strip nightclub. Michael Schuman accused Neil of taunting him and then punching him numerous times in the face, knocking him to the ground. The producer claimed that he did not know Neil and that the attack was unprovoked.

Neil, 43, in a separate case, is accused of battery last July on a prostitute at a Nevada brothel. Prosecutors allege that Neil grabbed Andrea Terry by the neck and threw her against a wall at the Moonlight Bunny Ranch in Mound House. He is scheduled to go to trial April 22 on the misdemeanor battery charge, his attorney, Scott Freeman, said Wednesday.
